This is our story of what we create in our 20 sq. ft. kitchen nightly. My name is Denise. I love everything about food. I love to cook, to read about food, go to the food markets & entertain. I am not in the food business & and my day job revolves around children. We feel that the right ingredients make all the difference. We prefer to shop organic & local when possible. I care about what I put in the bodies of the ones I love. Dinner should be a ceremony to some degree, a coming together after a long day. Little things such as lighting, music and even the linens on the table are all important to me & to our meals. Even if it has been a long day, I feel it all brings us together, again, as a couple.
My partner is Laudalino. We met 5 years ago, when he was a starving climber/ bachelor who longed for his mother’s good Portuguese cooking. They say the way to a man’s heart is thru his stomach; I like to think I got to his heart thru many means, cooking just happened to be one of them, I am sure of. He loves my cooking. He loves that I cook for him. He longs for a good meal when he is gone. And he is my personal critic
